Abstract Contemporary Sculpture
Great art teaches you something new. I’m most happy with my work when I come out of creating it feeling like I've learned something. And it's usually something quite profound
I believe that all things, living and otherwise are connected in ways that the vast majority of modern society is still learning about, and I'm convinced that inspired art and thought doesn't only come from a single brain, but from brief moments of awareness of that connection.
I use clean, linear geometry, bold flat color and uniform surface finishes to create expressive, abstract forms. I use as simple a format as possible to give form and expression to non-physical or invisible concepts, feelings or events.
Sculpture has become a vehicle for exploring, documenting and meditating on my philosophies and musings about consciousness, our shared experience and the mysteries of the universe.
I’ve been creating three-dimensional objects for as long as I can remember. I’m an industrial designer by training and spent the first 15 years of my adult life in the industry. As a result, I’ve learned to efficiently translate ideas into digital representations and physical objects, and that has become my most effective means of self-expression. I use the latest technology and tools to design and produce my work - CAD software, 3D printers etc.
I work with local foundries and cast my pieces in composite resins, bronze or aluminium
