Lifestream is a visual representation of communication and relationships between living organisms. 3 forms all swimming in the same direction with similar unsynchronized “strokes”, interact with each other, mimicking one-another, accommodating one-another, drawing closer in places, moving apart in other places, resting on one-other, resisting one-another, all ending at different points.
It points to the irony of how we often have an expectation that relationships between us complex living organisms should be simple and linear in a world of endless complexity, opposing views, values and agendas, yet at the same time points to an overall unity and harmony despite the turbulence
Like the rest of the pieces from the Flight Dream collection, this piece was conceived by establishing a geometric theme and rule-set that I then expounded upon to create an expressive form
