Abstract Contemporary Sculpture
Great art teaches you something new. I’m most happy with my work when I come out of creating it feeling like I've learned something. It's usually something quite profound
I’m interested in consciousness and the source and nature of our shared reality. My work serves as a way of documenting my meditations and musings about consciousness. It deliberately doesn’t depict any identifiable figures or subject matter. I seek to explore and describe concepts, emotions or aspects of our experiences through completely abstract form
I believe that art is magic. When art speaks to us it does so on a level that is deeper than the physical. This is evident in the fact that completely abstract forms can make us feel things. It’s this deeper connection that I believe makes abstract art the perfect vehicle with which to explore consciousness and seek to better understand it.
My style is defined by expressive forms composed with clean geometry and texture, a strong sense of linear directional consistency or patterns, and bright single-tone colors
With my industrial design experience, 3D form has become my most competent form of self-expression. I’ve taken my background and experience into my art and make use of modern technology to conceptualize and produce my work. I use CAD software, 3D printing, composite resins, and advanced casting techniques to design, visualize and produce my pieces.
